Professor Robert Conrad began his academic career at LIM College as an Adjunct Professor of Retailing in 2010. He was promoted to a full time Lecturer in the Department of Marketing, Management & Finance in the Spring of 2014 and became Associate Chair of the Fashion Merchandising Department in January of 2019. Among the undergraduate courses he teaches are: Retailing, Applied Concepts and Global Retailing. He has also taught Fashion Retail Management on the graduate level and developed an online version of the course, which launched in 2016.

He has a particular interest in, and passion for, engaging with Millennials, whether in the classroom, in the hallway, or as a guest Speaker at the London College of Fashion, where he, along with Dean Michael Londrigan, delivered a series of lectures in the Fall of 2016. Professor Conrad has also collaborated with Dr. Ken Kambara on several research projects regarding Millennials, Gen Z, Brands and Sustainability.

Professor Conrad has extensive professional experience in sales, marketing, operations and general management within the fashion industry. As Senior Vice President of Design and Product Development for Limited Brands, he helped develop Henri Bendel branded accessories, and as President of Modern & Classic Accessories for Liz Claiborne, Professor Conrad developed and implemented strategic plans for brands such as Liz Claiborne Accessories, Kenneth Cole Jewelry and Lucky Brand.

Professor Conrad holds a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Peter’s University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Villanova University. He holds a Certificate in Executive Leadership from the Center for Creative Leadership and is a member of the Retail Marketing Society. n 2017, he was inducted into Delta Mu Delta, an International Honor Society of Business Students and Educators
